Sustainability

Optimism in Optics.

Since the very beginning, Opolis knew it wanted to develop collections that would reflect its commitment to shifting the industry standard of optics manufacturing, AND our commitment to cleaning up the planet.

So we did both.

Go ahead, be materialistic

By selling two types of upcycled collections;

The Circular Economy

We travelled the world, fell in love with our planet and found a way to make sustainable sunglasses along the way. We’ve devoted time and resources to create an honest and transparent supply chain that not only benefits the environment but the individuals and communities directly involved.

Opolis is an Opportunity. When you buy a pair of Opolis sunglasses, you have an opportunity to see clearly and look good, but you also have an opportunity to do good and create true change.

Choose a new set of shades to serve YOU and HER this year and all years moving forward. Yes, they are only sunglasses, but you only have one set of eyes and one earth. Help us take care of both.

step-1-slide1.jpg

Step 1

Our network of waste collectors from Manila, Bali, and Nairobi collect ocean and landfill plastic.

step-2-slide1.jpg

Step 2

Bottles are cleaned, headed, sorted, and the plastics are broken down while unusable parts are disposed according to the appropriate recycling chain.

step-3-slide1.jpg

Step 3

The rPET/upcycled materials are shipped via our climate neutral shipping, to our facilities in China. It is there that we turn them into the best damn eyewear out there.

step-4-slide1.jpg

Step 4

Which is why we work with countries and communities most impacted by the plastic pandemic to help, clean, engage, and educate.
